Overview

Join us for our very first virtual Link Officers’ Annual Meeting (LOAM). After over twenty years of live LOAMs we are moving LOAM 2020 online to ensure safe and equitable access to all our lovely Link Officers. As ever, LOAM will be a great opportunity for Partners across the national children & families network to share practice, discuss emerging sector issues and to learn from one another.

This year’s LOAM will be delivered online over two consecutive half days and will focus on ‘Leading virtual learning and development. We’ll be reflecting on the rapid acceleration into new ways of learning that we’ve all been engaged with in recent months and how we’re adapting our support to practice development and CPD in a virtual or blended environment.

The event will be engaging, interactive and varied, with breaks and time built in to provide at least some of the informal networking with peers that we know you value so much at LOAM.

The event will also introduce the proposed topics for the Delivery Programme for 2021-22, as voted for by you and your colleagues across the Partnership network.

About the Link Officers’ Annual Meeting

Link Officers are the lynchpins at the centre of the Research in Practice network – literally keeping the wheels in motion! Their focus on embedding learning and development and championing evidence-informed practice provide the essential connections that keep us in touch with the needs and priorities of the sector.

LOAM 2020 will bring Link Officers from across the national Research in Practice network together online. As ever, LOAM online will be a great opportunity for Partners across the national children & families network to share practice, discuss emerging sector issues and to learn from one another.

Access to the event is funded within the organisational membership to Research in Practice (children & families). Value for money is enhanced by attendance.

Link Officer Support Session

As this year’s event is being held online, we will be running an additional support session for new and existing Link Officers on Thursday 8 October at 11am – 12pm. In this session you will hear from Account Managers and fellow Link Officers on how best to promote and embed Research in Practice resources within your organisation. If you would like to attend the Link Officer support session, please contact: events@researchinpractice.org.uk.

Link Officer Awards

In recognition of Link Officers’ efforts to support learning and development and championing evidence-informed practice, we will also be presenting the annual Link Officer Awards during LOAM. If your Link Officer has an enthusiastic approach to the role, works hard to disseminate resources and has successfully adapted learning and development activities to virtual platforms in recent months, then this is a fantastic opportunity to have their hard work recognised.

Submit your nomination.
