Drawing on up-to-date research and resources, this workshop will consider both individual qualities and organisational conditions. Participants will develop a self-care action plan and assemble a personalised ‘toolbox’ of strategies to repair, maintain, grow and sustain mental wellbeing.

Practitioners working across services, including frontline practitioners and middle managers.

Learning outcomes

As a result of attending this workshop participants will be able to:

  • Define wellbeing and emotional resilience and understand them in the context of social care.
  • Create their own self-care tool kit by using different strategies.  
  • Define and understand organisational resilience, considering the role of leaders and managers and how this affects wellbeing for themselves and their teams.  
  • Understand the importance of reflective supervision for their wellbeing and wider organisational resilience.  

Booking information

This is a full day interactive session delivered via Microsoft Teams and you are encouraged to contribute with the aid of break-out rooms, the chat function and large group discussions. Participants will benefit from having a quiet space to work without interruption. Slides will be sent out after the session.
