Assessment and intervention considerations when working with older people and alcohol and other drugs

This interactive online workshop, delivered by Wulf Livingston, will draw upon up-to-date research evidence to consider the implications of alcohol and other drug use in later life for practitioners working across adult social care. The session will explore how the strengths, needs and preferences of older adults who use alcohol and drugs might be most appropriately considered by social care professionals during assessment conversations and when planning support, in a way that respects individual entitlements, rights and safety.
