When questions around mental capacity arise, the need for confidence, clarity, and compassion in decision-making is vital.

Join a webinar that will introduce new resources to support social care practice around mental capacity.

This suite of resources consists of six specialist guides that each address an area of practice in which social care professionals might need to consider mental capacity. This includes self-neglect, domestic abuse, alcohol and other drug use, Prader-Willi Syndrome, Community Treatment Orders and informal admissions to hospital for mental health care.

Learning outcomes

As a result of taking part in this event, participants will:

  • Explore new guidance available from Research in Practice to support work in this complex and challenging area.
  • Gain an understanding of where to find relevant information, case law, models and tools.
