11:30 - 12:30 Tuesday, 19 May 2026

Social connectedness plays a crucial role in supporting health, wellbeing and independence throughout adulthood. Many people who draw on care and support experience barriers to participating in their communities. This can increase isolation, reduce confidence and limit opportunities to live fulfilling lives.

Join a webinar that will explore how strengths-based, community-centred approaches can promote inclusion and resilience.

Grounded in current evidence and real-world practice examples, this session will help practitioners consider how community assets, relational approaches and supportive environments can enhance outcomes for adults with a wide range of needs.

Learning outcomes

As a result of taking part in this event, participants will be able to:

  • Strengthen their understanding of how social and community capital influence wellbeing and independence.
  • Recognise the value of strengths-based practice in adult social care.
  • Explore strategies for supporting adults to access community opportunities confidently and safely.
  • Reflect on how community-centred, partnership-driven approaches can be embedded in everyday practice.

This event is a webinar.
