Online learning packages
Designed to support evidence-informed practice, online learning packages are an effective and engaging way to provide professional development and to meet organisational challenges and needs.
Online learning packages provide an effective engaging way of accessing professional development.
Each online learning package provides around three hours of continuing professional development (CPD), which includes three key elements:
Part one: Filmed online resources
Prior to attendance at a live online seminar (see below – Part two), delegates are required to watch a number of filmed online resources on a chosen topic. These filmed online resources are split into three or four chapters (totalling around 60-90 minutes). Delegates can access these at a time that suits them, promoting and enabling self-directed and flexible learning. The filmed online resources are supported by a delegate workbook which includes activities and reflective questions to use alongside. Partner organisations can access these filmed online resources, for all topics, over the course of a year.
Part two: Live online seminar
Part two of the online learning packages offers interactive learning to embed the knowledge learnt in the filmed online resources. Delivered by experienced facilitators, these one hour interactive sessions for up to 12 participants (delivered three times in the same day, 36 delegates in total) will engage the group to:
- Reflect on the evidence presented in Part one.
- Plan for implementing the learning into practice.
- Enable the exchange of practice expertise between peers and colleagues.
Part three: Feedback
Participants will be asked to provide feedback following attendance at the live online seminar. This feedback will be collated and shared with you. Delegates will also be sent a follow-up resource with further activities and links to relevant materials.
