We are pleased to announce the topics for the next series of PSW Networks CPD sessions. In choosing the focus for each session, we have been guided by your responses about which issues you would find useful to explore further.
We have also drawn on the expertise of a range of facilitators to present the sessions, who can speak from lived experience, academic research perspectives and practice leadership roles.
In the first session on 24 September, we will be joined by Dez Holmes to explore boundary spanning leadership, and what this means to you in your role. This will be followed by a session on 8 October will consider collaborative leadership, with a discussion on creating and sustaining positive change as leaders, together.
The following session on 13 November will focus on maintaining values and ethics. Facilitated by Tricia Pereira, participants will discuss the concept of radical leadership and what this looks like in practice.
The session on 14 January provides an opportunity to explore the concept of psychosocial safety within workplace environments, including wellbeing strategies for senior professionals. Following this on 11 February, Hannah Scaife and Tricia Pereira will lead a session on anti-racist practice. Discussions will focus on authentic leadership and moving from allyship to solidarity.
The last session on 24 March will discuss navigating complex systems as a Principal Social Worker, Principal Occupational Therapists or Approved Mental Health Professional Lead. Attendees will examine how to lead adaptively, compassionately, and with systemic impact.
As always, there will be plenty of time to engage in discussion and networking with peers during the events.
We hope that you will find the sessions useful.
