Supporting disabled young people leaving care
Join us for a workshop focused on supporting disabled young people who are leaving care. This interactive session will address the unique challenges they face in accessing their rights and entitlements as both disabled and care experienced individuals.
Designed for practitioners from across children’s and adults' services, this event will explore the legislative frameworks that set out the rights and entitlements of disabled care leavers. Attendees will be invited to share their insights and good practice principles.
This event will be most relevant to those supporting disabled young people between the ages of 14 and 25 who are leaving care. It may also be useful for colleagues working in adult services or a leaving care team.
