Director of Research in Practice Dez Holmes said:
‘Our annual report comes during a particularly busy time for colleagues across the sector. We are proud to support professionals across the country to do their very best for children and young people, families and adults, against a backdrop of political uncertainty, strained resources and a very busy policy landscape.
Against this backdrop, we feel privileged to support the workforce in prioritising people’s needs and championing social justice’
30 years of Research in Practice
2026 marks 30 years of Research in Practice support for those working with children and families, and 21 years with adults and carers.
The social and political landscape has developed and changed significantly during this time. We have responded to changes in policy and practice, supported the implementation of new and evolving government priorities, and helped practitioners and leaders across the country embrace the transformational impact of evidence.
We are looking back at our journey as an organisation, reflecting on 30 years of evidence-informed practice.
