Designing a better future: Leaders' Forum
Leaders across the children’s and adults’ sector are taking difficult decisions in extraordinary times. Our online Leaders’ Forum series will look at learning in the wake of COVID-19 and how we might design a bolder future.
Leaders across the children’s and adults’ sector are taking difficult decisions in extraordinary times. The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has thrown into sharp focus a number of issues that are central to public and charitable services. As local areas and national agencies alike look towards the future, there is much attention being paid to ‘recovery’ planning and notions of ‘the new normal’. This moment in time presents a unique opportunity to reflect more deeply on what ‘recovery’ might mean for services, and what kind of future we want for the sector, for citizens and society as a whole.
This year’s Leaders’ Forum will comprise a series of online discussions, each themed around a particular topic of relevance to future planning. Each discussion session will bring together colleagues from statutory and voluntary sector organisations, policy and academia to explore the evidence base and emergent learning, including learning from people’s lived experience.
