Introducing the Research in Practice review, showcasing our work to support evidence-informed practice, maximise impact and instigate change.

The review looks back at our programme of work with our Partner network and colleagues across the sector.

What is evidence-informed practice?

In a new podcast, Director of Research in Practice, Dez Holmes, explains what evidence-informed practice is, why it’s of particular relevance to the social care sector and what it means for practice and leadership. The podcast explores research and policy related to evidence-informed practice, and what it means for the way that we think about lived experience.

Maximising impact

The review is organised into four key areas that detail our learning resources, Partner network, online event delivery, publications, sector collaborations and more. It provides an accessible overview of our work and also details our range of programmes and collaborations that aim to innovate excellent practice and build capacity.

Research in Practice Director Dez Holmes said:

‘To say the past year has been busy feels like an understatement. Colleagues across the country have worked tirelessly to support children, young people, families, adults and carers in the face of significant resource challenges and a busy policy landscape. At Research in Practice, we have continued to provide high-quality evidence-informed learning resources and opportunities, by bringing together research evidence, practice wisdom and the expertise of those needing support. Just like the sectors we serve, we are always learning and improving.’
