Building a single digital view for Children and Family Services
Building a single digital view for Children and Family Services
Delivered online using Teams
10:00 - 12:00 Tuesday, 16 June 2026
Join Research in Practice and Somerset Council for an open access webinar that will explore building a single digital view for Children and Family Services.
Why are we hosting this webinar?
Local authorities are searching for ways to join up information about children and families – particularly through the Family First programme. Many areas are committed to creating a single digital view but get stuck on the practical ‘how’.
How will this webinar help?
The webinar will spotlight Somerset’s journey to build the Transform Family View, a sophisticated single digital view of the child. The team behind Transform Family View will share their knowledge and insights about:
- technical architecture,
- data matching,
- using artificial intelligence (AI) and other capabilities to generate insights,
- implementation lessons.
Who is this webinar for?
This session is for local authorities who:
- Are interested in developing a single digital view (or have started one).
- Are ready to think about the technical and implementation details, not just the concept.
This webinar will explore technical concepts, but it will be accessible for non-technical professionals. Attendees will have opportunities to ask questions.
We strongly encourage pairs of attendees from each area:
- A data/technical lead (e.g. data engineer, data architect, data/analytics lead).
- A practice/operational/commissioning lead (e.g. children’s social care or early help practice leader, innovation lead, or commissioner).
Bringing both perspectives will help you turn technical ideas into practical change.
