Using artificial intelligence in social care
Join an open access workshop exploring how artificial intelligence (AI) is used by professionals working within children’s social care, delivered by Resonant Collaboration in partnership with Research in Practice.
Together, we will discuss how AI is currently used and could be used to enhance the experiences of children, young people, and families who access social care services. Rather than focusing solely on AI as a tool for professional efficiency, this project centres the question of impact: what does AI mean for the children, young people, and families at the heart of social care?
These online workshops are designed as a participatory inquiry, with the experience of children, young people, and families as the consistent anchor point. Participants will be invited to take up the position of co-investigators of practice, bringing what they notice in their everyday work, the texture of how things happen, and the questions that are rarely asked.
Activities are designed to keep children, young people, and families at the centre of these discussions. The workshops will move between small-group and whole-room work, between making and reflecting, between the specific and the systemic.
The discussions will contribute to a larger project exploring future visions of how AI is used in social care.
